7# The Breckenridge Recreation Center:
Perhaps you want to spend a few hours skiing on the slopes and don’t want to leave the kids sat in the cabin all day. It’s not really a good idea to bring them with you since it’s cold and they may be a bit too young to come skiing. What do you do? The answer is the Breckenridge Recreation Center, which has proven to be a lifesaver for parents at the resort. You can buy a day pass and the kids can enjoy climbing two indoor walls, a number of sports facilities including a basketball court, and other fun things to pass the time. But this isn’t suitable for younger kids and children under the age of 10 need to come with an adult.
8# Learn to Play Ice Hockey:
Ice hockey is a fun sport that not many people have the chance to play, especially if you live in the warmer parts of the United States. In the winter, the kids can join a class and learn to play hockey on ice with experienced instructors. Who knows, perhaps they will love the sport and become the next big star!
9# Mountain Top Children’s Museum:
This museum is for younger kids under the age of 10 and has a range of toys and crafts to keep them engaged and entertained. There are lots of toys to play with for hands-on learning and the kids can experience the scarf wind tunnel and the teddy bear den. 10# Dine Downstairs at Eric’s Arcade.
Sometimes it can be difficult to find a family friendly restaurant where the parents can enjoy a meal and the kids are busy playing. Downstairs at Eric’s combines a modern sports bar with several old school arcade games. This is certain to keep the kids happy and busy while you’re relaxing and in the safe knowledge that they’re not disturbing other patrons.
11# Gold Panning:
Breckenridge was once a gold mining town over 100 years ago and you can show the kids the legacy of this today. There’s an old mine that offers tours deep inside to show what it was like for the miners. And they can also take part in their own gold panning activities in the river.

Teenagers love mountain bikes, especially if they’re young thrill seekers. Breckenridge has several places to cycle on both the road and trails.
